The Full Story...
After more than a decade working in architecture and design, I've witnessed something that's been weighing on me: there's a growing disconnect between good design for people with big budgets and accessible design for everyone else who needs it just as much.

Here's what I've observed: as the economy has tightened and DIY culture has exploded, more and more people are cutting architects and designers out of their projects entirely. Not because they don't want professional guidance, but because it feels completely out of reach. Meanwhile, from the industry side, architecture firms are raising their rates higher and higher, struggling to make ends meet themselves. The result? A broken system where good design feels like a luxury reserved for the few.

At Eastern Blue Design, we decided to get creative with our approach.

Our name draws inspiration from the Eastern Bluebird — a symbol of joy, renewal, and home — and our work carries that same energy: colorful, welcoming, thoughtful, and deeply considered. We blend architectural training with an artistic sensibility, creating projects that feel both elevated and grounded, both tailored and imaginative.

We absolutely offer the complete experience: predesign, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
