Medford Addition

The Challenge: A growing family in Medford, MA needed to expand their two-story home to better support their daily routines and long-term needs. The existing layout lacked adequate storage, a proper mudroom for busy family life, and a functional connection between the garage and main living areas.

The Solution: We designed a thoughtful 23' x 28'-6" addition that transforms how the family moves through and uses their home. The key design moves include a well-appointed mudroom with custom storage cubbies and coat hooks, an expanded kitchen with a 3-seat peninsula and walk-in pantry, and a new garage that provides both parking and utility space.

The addition creates a logical sequence from garage to mudroom to kitchen, with each space designed for maximum functionality. On the second floor, we added a dedicated laundry room with folding counter and storage, plus a small office nook within the primary suite.
