The Challenge: Local artists needed a flexible, multi-functional space that could serve as both a community hub and professional venue. The existing building required a complete transformation to accommodate diverse programming - from art exhibitions and retail to performances and educational workshops.
The Solution: We designed an adaptable artist studio and gallery space that seamlessly transitions between different functions. The key innovation is our modular exhibition wall system - sleek white panels that lock and lower on casters, revealing warm wood shelving underneath for different display configurations. The space flows from an entry retail area with custom display stands and a ticket window into the main exhibition hall with mobile partitions and lounge seating.
The design celebrates flexibility through smart architectural moves: reusing existing millwork with wood cladding updates, creating a bar area that doubles as a DJ booth with elevated platform staging, and incorporating a private green room for artists. Custom mobile furniture allows the space to transform from intimate gallery viewing to performance venue to community workshop space.

Scope includes (but was not limited to):
- Complete interior renovation of existing commercial space
- Custom modular exhibition wall system with lifting/lowering casters
- Adaptive millwork including bar area with wood shelving for vinyl/bottle storage
- Entry retail zone with display stands and ticketing window
- Full architectural design from schematic through construction documentation
- Bathroom renovation to support 250-300 occupancy

The Result: A dynamic artist studio that proves small commercial spaces can serve multiple communities. The venue seamlessly adapts from quiet gallery contemplation to energetic performance space, giving local artists complete flexibility to pursue diverse creative programming and community engagement.
